Ensemble
Moritz Plasse - Flute
Moritz Plasse was born in Hannover. He studied in Berlin, with Pierre-Yves Artaud at the CNSM in Paris and with
Michael Kofler at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. He received a scholarship from the DAAD in 1998/89. Master classes with J.-P. Rampal,
A. Nicolet, A. Marion, E. Pahud, P. Meisen, R. Greiss, M. Debost and B. Kuijken were important in his musical development. In 2000
he received his diploma with distinction. From 1998 to 2007 he played with the Camerata Salzburg, and since 1999 he has been a member
of the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg. He has also played with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Munich Philharmonic under J. Levine,
K. Nagano and C. Thielemann. As an orchestra and chamber musician, he has performed in many European countries, and at some of the
most prestigious festivals in North and South America, Africa and Asia. Since 2009, Moritz Plasse has taught at the Salzburg Faculty
of the University of Florida. Since 2008 he has studied baroque flute with Marion Treupel-Franck in Munich.
Isabella Unterer
- Oboe
Isabella Unterer was born in Tyrol and had her first oboe lessons with E. Fintl at the Innsbruck Conservatoire. Her studies
were continued in Munich with Günther Passin. She was a member of Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and, as a member of the Orchestra
Academy of Munich, played with the Bavarian State Opera and the Symphony Orchestra of the Bavarian Broadcasting Company under the
baton of C. Kleiber, L. Maazel, S. Celibidache, C. Abbado, R. Muti, Z. Meta and K. Nagano. Since 1998 Isabella Unterer has been solo
oboist with the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg. She is also a member of the Austrian Ensemble for New Music, much in demand as a chamber
musician with various groups and a regular guest performer with the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Bavarian State Opera, the Munich
‘Klangverwaltung’ and the Camerata Salzburg. For some time now, Isabella Unterer has also studied Psychokinesiology according to W.
Huber and Logotherapy according to V. Frankl at the Institute for Existential Analysis and Logotherapy in Salzburg.
Gábor Lieli
- Clarinet
Gabor Lieli was born in Budapest. He studied clarinet with Tamas Palancz in Pecs, and completed his studies with Emil Rieder
at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, receiving his diploma with distinction. He is the winner of many awards, including the Mozarteum’s Franz
Kossak Prize. Since 1992 he has been solo clarinettist with the Salzburg Chamber Philharmonic. From 1997 to 2005 he was a member of
the teaching staff at the Mozarteum Salzburg as well as guest professor at the University of Pecs and the Salzburg faculty at Redlands
University California. As chamber musician and soloist he has played many concerts in Europe and overseas, performing at the Salzburg
Festival, the Europe Festival in Rome and the Carinthian Summer Festival. Since 2004 he has taught clarinet at the Music School of
Upper Austria, and since 2006 he has been the artistic director of the Festival ‘Klassik am Inn’ in Upper Austria, which he helped
initiate. Since 2009 Gabor Lieli has been chairman of the cultual society ‘Kulturwelle’ in Neumarkt am Wallersee.
Christoph Hipper
- Bassoon
Christoph Hipper was born in Rosenheim. He studied bassoon with Milan Turkovic at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, later with Daniele
Damiano (Berlin Philharmonic) and Richard Galler (Vienna Symphony). He completed his studies with distinction, for which he was also
awarded a prize by the Austrian State. Since 1988 he has been bassoonist with the Camerata Salzburg. The most formative influences
on his musical development were Sandor Vegh, first of all, and in more recent years, vast input from violinist Leonidas Kavakos. He
has toured all the most prestigious international festivals and concert halls with the Camerata, conducted by Sandor Vegh, Leonidas
Kavakos, Sir Roger Norrington, Franz Welser-Möst and performing with numerous prominent soloists. From 1997 to 2004 Christoph Hipper
taught as assistant professor to Richard Galler at the Mozarteum. He also plays in several chamber music ensembles, from trio to octet.
Markus
Hauser - French Horn
Markus Hauser was born in Salzburg and grew up in St. Michael. He had his first horn lessons at the age of eleven
with Alois Aigner, who was solo horn with the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg at the time. From 1992 he studied horn at the Mozerteum
in Salzburg with Josef Mayr. In 1999 he completed his studies with Radovan Vlatkovic, receiving his diploma with distinction. Since
1997 he has been a member of the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, a substitute with the Camerata Salzburg and second horn with the Salzburg
Chamber Philharmonic. He had the opportunity to play with the Vienna Philharmonic under Kent Nagano and Lorin Maazel. He has also
studied the natural horn and has made highly successful appearances with the Viennese Academy under Martin Haselböck and Concentus
Musicus under Nikolaus Harnoncourt. In addition, Markus Hauser has made numerous performances as a chamber musician in various ensembles.
